5 Productivity Hacks That Will Change Your Life

Being productive in a world of continual interruptions and notifications appears to be an impossible task. The wonderful people of the internet, on the other hand, are attempting to find ways to increase their productivity and help them live a more balanced life.

The difficulty is that most of this material goes undetected or is lost in the sheer volume of articles. Or, even worse, the information you do read is essentially clickbait! Sigh…

We combed the internet for some of the finest productivity hacks to help you save time and be productive with it.

1. Set aside some time to worry about things.

Wait? Isn’t productivity supposed to help me get rid of stress? Yes, the concept behind this advice is a little strange. If you spend most of your day worrying about things that may happen in the future, you will undoubtedly travel quickly to an early grave.

However, if you allow yourself a certain amount of time to succumb to this uncertainty…

Stress is an unavoidable aspect of life. Scheduling a tiny amount of your time to write down the things that are worrying you might be the push you need to step away from them and focus on performing at a higher level for the greater part of your day.

2. Allow yourself to procrastinate (Productively)

Again, this may seem strange but bear with us. We imply that you should search for something specific that isn’t work-related now and again.

Sometimes stepping away from the task in hand and doing something different can allow your brain to reset, allowing you to return more focused and with new ideas.

It could be anything from learning a new sport to preparing contemporary cuisine, simply watching the news or picking up a new skill. It relaxes your mind and provides you a new sense of accomplishment for completing a task.

3. Only read your e-mail once.

Once you’ve read each email, determine what to do with it!

Many of us read our emails several times a day and opt to file them away for later consideration. This transforms your email into a never-ending abyss. Your inbox follows you everywhere, reminding you of the tasks you need to complete.

It’s a difficult situation, so pro tip: decide what to do with your messages as soon as feasibly possible.

4. Keep a small notepad.

Some individuals underestimate the power of random thoughts that enter our brains.

Wherever you go, you should always have a little notepad or journal with you. Whenever an idea comes to you, write it down as quickly as possible. We sometimes resort to storing data in our heads for eventual retrieval.

This sounds excellent, but we often overlook little nuances when bombarded with new things to consider.

5. Reduce the number of things on your to-do list.

Write only 5 to-dos on your list.

In the process of reducing the number of tasks on your list you will be required to evaluate the relevance of each larger assignment.

You’ll have to prioritize it based on the importance of each thing.

Keep a bucket list of all your larger deliverables somewhere else.

These are just a few of the many productivity suggestions we can offer. If you have any further ideas or advice, please leave them in the comments section below!
